Video inspiration
I was taking inspiration from existing music videos and recreating specific details and features which I liked. By watching and analyzing different music video I was collecting visual elements and building the concept of my desired ideas and aesthetic. Due to techniques I implemented I was able to figure out way trough which I could express my storytelling in my video.
In the music video Depeche Mode I like the alert of the rhythmic repletion of the shot of the flower folowing the tens of the song. I also like the simplisity of the storytelling, however the compilation of the used symbolism. In my video I repeated the moment of the flowers, making a picture and edited in differently in Photoshop.
In Fazerdaze video I also liked the simplicity of story telling, the 90s old school style, and simple shots portrait shots of the artist. I get inspired by the sharp and rhythmic jump cuts.
In Yeule's video I liked the dreamy and melancholic atmosphere of the song. The extreme close of the face were creating eerie and mysterious mood.
In Half.Alive video I really liked the mixed media tenchique implemented to tell the story of the music. However, I wasn't able to recreate the style and technique completely, but elements such as cut of paper pieces, texture and small amount of shots per second I took from this video.
